1. Overview
Markhuba LLC (“Markhuba,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates direct-to-consumer e-commerce stores and related business tools. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used. It applies in two parts: Part A covers how we handle data from customers who shop in our stores, and Part B covers how our internal business application uses Meta Platforms APIs. If you have questions, contact us at admin@markhuba.net.
2. Part A: Store Customers
What We Collect
When you place an order or contact us for support, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Shipping and billing address
- Order details (items purchased, order value, order history)
- Communications you send us (support requests, messages)
We do not collect full payment card numbers; payment is handled by our payment processors, who process that information directly.
Why We Collect It
We use this information to:
- Fulfill your order (process, pack, and ship it)
- Send transactional emails about your order, including confirmations, shipping updates, and delay notifications. These emails are sent through email-delivery processors such as Amazon SES.
- Respond to support requests and resolve issues with your order
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
We do not use your order data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
3. Part B: Meta Platforms Integration
We use our own internal business management software to connect to Meta Platforms APIs (Facebook and Instagram) for two purposes only:
- Customer support messages. Our application accesses messages sent to our business Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts so that our support team can read and reply to them. This is the same as reading messages directly in Meta’s Page inbox — our software simply lets our team do it from one place.
- Advertising performance data. Our application accesses performance data (such as spend, reach, and results) from our own advertising account, so we can manage and evaluate our own ad campaigns.
Our application does not access other users’ personal Facebook or Instagram profiles, friend lists, or any data beyond the Page/Instagram messages and ad account data described above.
What we do not do with this data: We do not sell any data obtained through Meta APIs. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals beyond what is needed to respond to their support messages.
4. Data Processors
We share data with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate our business:
- Hosting providers — to run our stores and store order data securely
- Amazon SES — to send transactional order and shipping emails
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — to send and receive Page/Instagram messages and access our ad account performance data, as described above
- Shopify — as our e-commerce platform, to process and manage orders
Each of these providers processes data only as needed to provide their service to us, and is bound by their own data protection obligations. Where personal data is transferred from the European Economic Area to the United States, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or another legally recognized transfer mechanism, as required under GDPR.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — including order fulfillment, customer support, accounting, and legal or tax record-keeping requirements. When data is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal data, including encryption of data in transit, restricted access controls, and limiting data access to personnel who need it to do their jobs.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@markhuba.net, or submit a deletion request directly through our Data Deletion page.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date.
